ART CONSULTING

At Distill Creative, principal and artist Stephanie Echeveste provides art consulting services for arts organizations and real estate developers in New York City and Washington, DC. She specializes in privately-owned public spaces, privately-owned developments, such as a food hall or luxury apartment building, and traditional public spaces.

Stephanie curates, commissions, and project manages a variety of artworks by a wide range of artists efficiently, on time, and within budget. She lives in New York City and stays abreast of trends in the art world, but more importantly walks around regularly in cities to experience and engage with ever-changing public and street art.

With a background in marketing, real estate, art, and cultural production as well as experience living and working in various cities and abroad, Stephanie provides a unique perspective and a hard-to-find expertise. She is an out-of-the-box thinker with a realist mindset. She has experience working in house for a top REIT, so she knows the realities of moving timelines, murky budgets, and property maintenance.

Stephanie believes art is more than just a beautification element — it is an opportunity to inspire and develop community across various demographics. She also believes in putting forth underrepresented artists in an effort to create more equity and inclusion in the public and private art world.

As an artist herself, Stephanie is currently developing her own style and hopes to do more of her own public projects in the future. You can see her work on her website here.

Past projects she has worked on as an art consultant include a site-specific chandelier, a rotating light show in a public park, a printed map for a neighborhood, and various murals. For projects in Washington, DC, Stephanie works through arts organization CulturalDC.
