mexican hot chocolate & tapestry weaving *sold out*

We are delighted to host guest artist Karla Belinda Amezcua Márquez (@karlabelindaaa) visiting from Mexico City, Mexico! Karla, who is currently an artist-in-residence at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY, will be coming down to DC to lead this one-time-only tapestry weaving workshop for cocktails+craft.

Read our interview with Karla on the blog!

Our cocktail will be a special spiked Mexican hot chocolate to keep us cozy while we set up our warp and get our weaving projects started.

All supplies will be provided with RSVP. You'll leave with your very own lap loom, yarn, tapestry needle, dowels, and shuttles. Feel free to bring your own specialty yarn if you would like! *Please RSVP by February 1st so we have enough time to order supplies!*

Because of the cost of materials for this workshop, refunds are only available with at least 3 days notice so we can find someone else to attend.

WHEN Friday, February 12th | 5pm - 8pm

WHERE at Artspace DC | 614 S Street, NW (basement) Washington, DC 20001

If there are no more RSVPs available, you can sign up for our waitlist here
