cocktails+craft: sazeracs & succulents
Today we had our second Cocktails+Craft! We made sazeracs and painted concrete pots to place cute little succulents.
We started in the late afternoon and it lasted a little over two hours. My sister and I prepped the house and set up after we went to Yoga on the Mall. I loved seeing creativity come to life in so many different ways--each person had a very unique style when painting the pots.
plan your own
For this edition of Cocktails+Craft I prepped the concrete pots ahead of time as they take about 24-48 hours to harden. I was a little nervous the concrete pots would be too small but they worked out perfectly. Follow these instructions to make your own concrete pots. We set out the recipe for a sazerac in the drink station and set out the paint, pots and brushes on our kitchen table. We set out the succulents on the window sill so everyone could pick their own.
here's what you need:
Make sure you get enough supplies for all your guests.
- concrete pots
- outdoor paint
- foam brushes
- sazerac rye whiskey
- peychard's bitters
- sugar cubes
- herbsaint ( absinthe)
- lemon peel
