12 Shibori Indigo Dyed Items I Am Obsessed With

My first memory of dyeing my own clothes is when I was a small child at camp — remember tie-dyeing t-shirts? Well, I basically haven’t stopped being obsessed with dyeing my own clothes and here I am, decades later, still thinking about all things tie-dye.

I’ve dabbled in textile dyeing over my lifetime — as a designer and artist — and recently have gotten into shibori indigo dyeing. I took some natural dye courses in Oaxaca, Mexico with local artisans and have been experimenting ever since.

I’ve also been seeing tie-dye and all things indigo trending in fashion and home decor. I love seeing so many iterations of shibori indigo in particular!
