Fiber Arts Day at Art Space DC
Last Sunday we gathered at Art Space DC and the Shaw Library to celebrate fiber arts! We had demonstrations and yarn crafts for visitors and met a lot of people in the community. I learned more about the history of Shaw and shared my weaving project (which is half way done). Everyone was excited to see the projects we are working on and how weaving actually works. We all have touched, worn and adored woven goods, but it's rare to see a loom in action. Thank you everyone who came out to find out what weaving, crochet and knitting are all about.
