Last weekend we had our first ever Distill Creative Chapter Leader Retreat. I still can’t believe we have three Chapters, but we do and it is lovely.

We started our retreat with swag, because we love making things for others almost as much as we love making things with others. Here’s a photo Shenneth, our new DC Chapter Leader, took to give you some proof:

Then we got down to business. As a Chapter Leader, you get training and craft curricula to help you host your own workshops. We went over what it takes to be a Chapter Leader, sales, marketing, social media, all the fun. Then, we got brunch. And bloody marys because it’s not a Distill Creative get together without some cocktails.

Then we walked around Dumbo, where our new HQ is located. We have breathtaking views of the East River a few blocks from our studio. We walked through Brooklyn Flea and the waterfront and got coffee to recharge for another session of workshop prep.

Now, we’re working on our workshop schedules for next year to bring you more creative experiences!
