Recap: Intention Setting + Vision Board Workshop

Diving into 2019

The first month of the new year is always a great time to reflect, set intentions, and envision goals for the entire year. Shenneth Dove-Morse, Distill Creative - DC Chapter Leader led a group of seven participants through an Intention Setting and Vision Board Workshop on January 5, 2019 at Colony Club, a cafe + bar in Northwest, Washington, DC.

Attendees sipped cocktails as they shared key goals they have for 2019 with the group and then honed in on their goals by spending some time writing them down and then sharing vision statements for the year with the group.

The group then started painting their canvases and searching in magazines to find photos, words, and imagery that aligned with the goals and vision statement they had previously written down and/or shared. Yellow proved to be a popular color to add as a ‘pop of color’ to a few participant’s vision boards.

After a few layers of Modge Podge, a few sprinkles of glitter, and lots of chatting, the group finished their vision boards. They can now look at their board for inspiration for the remainder of the year!
